Dale Steyn On AB De Villiers
Despite retiring from international cricket just before the 2019 World Cup, ABD still has a lot left in him as a cricketer. Former South African legendary pacer Dale Steyn also echoed the same sentiments in his recent tweet on De Villiers.
Through his tweet, he took a dig at several current international players playing in the IPL and said that ABD is still better than most of them.
“Unpopular/Popular opinion. Ab is still better than half the internationals at IPL. Maybe even more” Steyn wrote in his tweet.
Steyn, who last played in the IPL in 2021, played with Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) for over a decade. He joined the team’s celebrations after they won their maiden IPL title earlier this year. He has scored 5162 runs in 170 matches at an average of 39.7 and strike rate of 151.6. Steyn believes that he still can play in the IPL better than most of the regular international cricketers.
