Indian batter Prithi Shaw’s international career has gone haywire on the back of his reported indiscipline. The BCCI was even forced to take disciplinary action against him, forcing him to lose his spot in the Indian team.
He is currently nowhere to be seen in international cricket after making his international debut in 2018. He made his international debut with a century in his Test debut, but then has completely lost track of his international career.
Shaw also has had iffy returns in the IPL, prompting the franchises to not bid for him in IPL 2025. He resorted to the last option of chasing his domestic team to extend his domestic career as he switched from Mumbai to Maharashtra. In the IPL, he last played for Delhi Capitals before they released him ahead of the IPL 2025 auction.

Shaw Compared to The Likes Of Suryavanshi, Mhatre
He further compared Shaw with the likes of Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ayush Mhatre, calling them the future of Indian cricket.
“Even now, I feel there should be a batter like him, the way he used to bat. Although right now we have some truly outstanding batters. For example, the way Vaibhav Suryavanshi is batting, and the way Ayush Mhatre is batting. These are future cricketers in the making. They are getting ready in line. Indian cricket is almost at the top,” he added.
Prithvi Shaw last played for India in 2021 and so far, he has played five Tests, six ODIs and just one T20I for the national team.
