Shubman Gill’s men will have an extended break after completing and showcasing 25 days of nonstop Test cricket in England. India managed to level the series 2-2 from the jaws of defeat, achieving a famous win at the Oval and sharing the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy 2025. A few players from this squad are expected to feature in the upcoming Asia Cup 2025.

Meanwhile, this extended break for India is due to the postponement of the limited-overs tour to Bangladesh, where India was scheduled to play 3 ODIs and 3 T20Is. This series was postponed due to security concerns arising from political unrest following the Pahalgam attack.
